Bio-
Patricia Herman- Patricia Herman
lives in Whitelaw, WI and took an
early retirement from nursing to
pursue her interest in spinning and
weaving. Patricia now works at
Hidden Valley Farm & Woolen Mill
and is in heaven because she is surrounded by wool! She
began spinning in 1997 in an effort to utilize her dogs
prolific fiber. When she had accumulated enough yarn she
began weaving on a Triangle Loom using the continuous
loop method of weaving. She has taught classes for area
spinning guilds, Fiber Thing Retreat in St. Nazianz, WI,
Spin-in at Jefferson, WI, Sheep & Wool Festival in
Jefferson, WI and Midwest Fiber & Folk Fair in Crystal
Lake, IL. Patricia frequently gives spinning and weaving
demonstrations at Pinecrest Historical Village in
Manitowoc, WI. Her interests also include gardening,
reading and weaving on a Triangle Loom, Square Loom,
Diamond Loom and Rectangular Loom along with
spinning on her Great Wheel! She has won several awards
for her weaving and use of color. She published an
instructional book Triangle Loom Weaving, Twills 'N
More, Volume 1 in the summer of 2007.
